Back in April, when Daniel Webster won the “Oldest Panel Contest” held by True Tech Electric of Oklahoma City, he had his doubts about getting a brand new electrical panel installed at no cost to him.

            The new Electrical Service was installed on May 30^th, since that time, he has enjoyed the peace of mind knowing that his electrical system is safe and up to date. “During a typical year, home electrical problems account for 67,800 fires, 485deaths, and $868 million in property losses. Home electrical wiring causes twice as many fires as electrical appliances.” (United States Fire Administration)

            Webster won the new electrical system in a contest held by True Tech Electric as part of their ongoing public awarness project to bring to light the safety hazards of poorly maintained electrical systems. “We started the Oldest Electrical Panel contest back in October of 2005 and performed an electrical safety evaluation for each entry. The contest was held to bring awarness to the hazards of older electrical equipment.” says Aaron Boyles, President of True Tech Electric. The new electrical system installed at Webster’s Home is valued at $1900.00.
